Touhou 3 - Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream: A multiplayer kind of shooting game, but you can play it single-player! The screen is split into two, and you have to shoot enemies in one to send bullets raining down your opponent on the other screen to their death! It’s pretty surreal, and you know that’s bad when I say it’s surreal! Lacks a lot of features, but that’s to be expected. Touhou 2 - Story of Eastern Wonderland: Here’s where Touhou starts shaping up into a shooting game series! Fairly easy and still out-of-place compared to later installments. It’s not your typical Touhou game, so you should enjoy this one as, y'know, a Breakout/Arkanoid clone. Touhou 1 - High Responsive to Prayers: A Breakout/Arkanoid kind of game. The games numbered after 5 are for Windows operating systems, and you can start your own Touhou adventure from there! The games are: Story-wise and character-wise, they aren’t relevant anymore. The first 5 games are for PC 98 systems - you don’t need to play them since they are kind of wacky and are ZUN’s (that’s the creator of Touhou!) earlier experiments of the Touhou series. The rest is for you to find out yourself!Īs of now, Touhou has 14 game entries into the series. Touhou has also expanded into print works - official light novels, official character guides, official manga, official music CD compilations, that stuff! But all I’m going to talk about here are the games. Touhou, also known as Touhou Project, is a doujin series known for its difficult bullet hell games, all-girl cast - some based on mythical creatures, eargasmic music (I kid you not), and for its fanworks (fangames, fan remixes, fan-art, doujinshi, ya get the jist of it?). No need to be shameful or anything, I’ll educate you on that subject! Do note that you do not need any prior experience or knowledge with Touhou to enjoy the development of this crossover idea, but it is double the fun if you are a Touhou fan! Doesn’t that bring shivers down your spine?! Isn’t it exciting?!Īnyhoo, enough of that introductory hoo-hah.Time for you to learn and time for me to teach! Ahahaha! For you to come across this page, you must be very curious about what Touhou is.
